Order Appraisal – Overview
The “Order Appraisal” tool allows the borrower to order and pay for an appraisal on the subject property directly within cPOS.
Accessing the “Order Appraisal” Tool
Once the user has logged into cPOS, they can access the “Order Appraisal” tool by clicking Continue on the relevant loan, which will direct them to the “Your Tasks” page.
The “Your Tasks” page is a centralized list of the actions that need to be taken by the borrower to finalize their loan application. The “Order Appraisal” tool appears at the top of this list.
Click Begin to open the “Order Appraisal” Tool
Ordering an Appraisal
Before the user can order an appraisal, they will be prompted to review their order and enter their payment information.
The first page in the “Order Appraisal” tool asks the user to review their order. The appraisal description and cost appears near the bottom of the page body. When the borrower clicks Next, they will be directed to the “Payment Info” page.

If the borrower is uncertain what an appraisal is, clicking What is an Appraisal? opens a modal window that defines appraisals more precisely.
The user can return to the “Review Order” page by clicking x or Close
The “Payment Info” page collects the borrower’s credit card information for payment of the appraisal fee. Once the information has been entered and the user clicks Submit, a confirmation screen appears to indicate that the order was placed successfully.
If the user clicks Submit without providing their credit card information, a message will appear in red under the required fields to remind the user that they are required.
The “Order Appraisal” tool allows the user to order an appraisal for the subject property directly through cPOS. After reviewing their order, the user can enter their payment information to complete the order.
