Create a Price Quote Without Updating Pricing*

Overview

Release 6.0.4000 includes the following updates to the "Loan Details" page:

  • users can now generate a price quote pdf after applying a loan product without being required to update pricing on the loan. 

Create a Price Quote

To generate a price quote, click the Price Quote button on the "Loan Details" page. 

If any changes have been made to the loan application or the applied product that would affect the pricing of the loan, a modal window will appear to remind the user that pricing needs to be updated.

A new button has been added to this modal window to allow users to quickly create a price quote document without updating pricing and fees. Click the Create Quote button in this window to generate a quote.

 

NOTE: The modal window will be skipped when:

  1. The system does not detect any loan parameter changes from the last product search.
  2. The system is within the time limit, specified by Required Shop for Rates before Initial Disclosure (minutes) - found in iMP System Admin > General Settings > General Settings - (usually defaulted to 5 minutes)

In this scenario, the system will create the PDF quote by the user clicking the "Create Quote" button on the Loan Details page.

Acceptance Criteria

Use Case #1: Changes to Pricing Data, Modal Appears - Unlocked Loan
 
  1. Log in to oPOS
  2. Create a new Loan Application
  3. Shop for Rates and apply a loan product
  4. Add borrower income to the loan application
  5. Return to the Loan Details page
  6. Click Create Quote 
    • VERIFY: "Changes have occurred that require re-pricing" modal window appears
    • VERIFY: Modal window contains Create Quote button
  7. Click Create Quote button in modal window
    • VERIFY: System proceeds with create quote workflow (save loan and generate quote report)
 

Use Case #2: No Changes to Pricing Data, Modal Does Not Appear - Unlocked Loan

Precondition: Set the following:

  • iMP System Admin > General Settings > General Settings - Required Shop for Rates before Initial Disclosure (minutes) to 5 minutes
  • Test within the 5-minute threshold
  1. Log in to oPOS
  2. Create a new Loan Application
  3. Shop for Rates and apply a loan product
  4. Return to the Loan Details page
  5. Click Create Quote
    • VERIFY: "Changes have occurred that require re-pricing" modal window does not appear
    • VERIFY: System proceeds with create quote workflow (save loan and generate quote report)
 

Use Case #3: No Changes to Pricing Data, Modal Does Not Appear - Unlocked Loan

Precondition: Set the following:

  • iMP System Admin > General Settings > General Settings - Required Shop for Rates before Initial Disclosure (minutes) to 5 minutes
  • Test outside of the 5-minute threshold
  1. Log in to oPOS
  2. Create a new Loan Application
  3. Shop for Rates and apply a loan product
  4. Return to the Loan Details page
  5. Click Create Quote
    • VERIFY: "Changes have occurred that require re-pricing" modal window does appear
    • VERIFY: System proceeds with create quote workflow (save loan and generate quote report)
 

Use Case #4: Repeat with Locked Loan

  1. Repeat Use Cases #1-3 with a locked loan

Use Case #5: No Create Quote button for "Update Pricing" or "Update Price & Fees"

  1. Log in to oPOS
  2. Create a new Loan Application
  3. Shop for Rates and apply a loan product
  4. Add borrower income to the loan application
  5. Return to the "Loan Details" page
  6. Click Update Pricing or Update Price & Fees
    • VERIFY: "Changes have occurred that require re-pricing" modal window appears
    • VERIFY: Modal window does not contain Create Quote button
